Green indicates that an update has been available for 2 days. Orange indicates that an update has been available for 4 days. Red indicates that an update been available for 7 days. Click the Chrome menu icon in the top-right corner of your browser.
Why are my Chrome tabs orange?
When are updates available. Normally updates happen in the background when you close and re-open your browser. However, if you haven’t closed your browser in a while you might see the Chrome menu on the browser change colour to green, orange, or red.
Why does my Google icon change?
