You can just swap the drive over and it will work no issues 99% of the time.

You may find that you want to transfer or use data from that drive on your new computer. Yes, you can use an old SSD on your new computer.

Usually is not a good idea to move SSD from one platform to another, eg from Intel to AMD. Windows will work but will have to load different CPU/motherboard drives what will/might create problems.

Can you put any SSD in any motherboard?

Is SSD compatible with any motherboards? As long as the motherboard has the kind of connector used by the SSD, sure. If it’s a 2.5″ SATA SSD, and the motherboard uses SATA II or SATA III, then, yeah.
