Is Apple M1 really better than Intel?

The M1 chip brings up to 3.5x faster CPU performance, up to 6x faster GPU performance, and up to 15x faster machine learning capabilities compared to the Intel chips used in prior-generation machines.

Why M1 is so much better?

Apple uses memory, which is designed to serve both large chunks of data and do it very quickly. It is called ‘low latency and high throughput’. This removes the need to have two different types of memory and all the copying of data between them, making the M1 faster.

Is M1 better than Intel i9?

While the overall performance output of Intel Core i9 might be higher, Apple’s M1 Pro and M1 Max chips offer better performance-per-watt.

What Intel chip is M1 comparable to?

We now have three new Macs that use Apple’s ARM-based M1 chip. It is an iPad-derived CPU as compared to the Intel Core i7.

Is Apple M1 better than Intel and AMD?

In single-core tests, M1 Ultra wins by 39%, but it loses to the Ryzen CPU by 7% in multi-core tasks. Apple also beats the top consumer CPU from AMD, the Ryzen 5950X, winning by 13% in single-core and a whopping 37% in multi-core operations.
